I always felt my dad yearned for his pre-teen years. I think he had a very happy childhood. I think if you had a happy childhood, it’s natural to remember it fondly and yearn it. My dad always spoke about growing up on a farm. He had two horses, a cow, chickens, etc. He spoke about how people who do not grow up on a farm are so disconnected from their food.
